Swiss watch brand founded in Le Locle, Switzerland by Ariste Calame, one of the oldest watch brands still in production. Zodiac built an early reputation for technical innovation and in 1953 introduced its Sea Wolf model, one of the first purpose-built modern dive watches. The brand was acquired by Fossil Group from Genender International in 2001 for approximately $4.7 million, after which Fossil retooled the line around its vintage heritage and retro-modern aesthetic.
