Fashion
American premium activewear and lifestyle apparel brand founded in 2015 by Joe Kudla in Encinitas, California. Kudla, a former accountant and fashion model, identified a gap in the market for high-quality, versatile performance apparel for men that could transition from workouts to everyday life. Vuori achieved profitability by 2017 and expanded into women's apparel in 2018. The brand built its distribution through a combination of DTC e-commerce, wholesale accounts including REI and Nordstrom, and over 40 branded retail stores in major US markets. Norwest Venture Partners invested $45 million in 2019; SoftBank Vision Fund 2 invested $400 million in 2021 valuing the company at $4 billion; General Atlantic and Stripes co-led an $825 million round in November 2024 valuing the company at $5.5 billion. Kudla retains majority ownership. Vuori is certified Climate Neutral.
