Fashion
French haute joaillerie house founded in Paris in 1906 by Alfred Van Cleef and his father-in-law Charles Arpels, with its first boutique at Place Vendôme. The Maison is celebrated for its romantic and nature-inspired designs, including the iconic Alhambra four-leaf clover motif introduced in 1968, and is a leading practitioner of the Mystery Setting technique it patented in 1933. Richemont acquired a 60% stake in 1999, increased its holding to 80% in 2001, and acquired the remaining shares in 2003 to bring the Maison into full ownership.
