British luxury gunmaker founded in London in 1814 by James Purdey, recognised as one of the world's finest makers of bespoke side-by-side and over-and-under shotguns and rifles. Purdey holds two Royal Warrants and has produced guns for royalty and heads of state across Europe. Beyond firearms, the brand has extended into heritage sporting apparel, leather goods, accessories, and operates the Royal Berkshire Shooting School. Richemont acquired Purdey in 1994 through its Vendôme Luxury Group.
