American active lifestyle apparel brand founded in a garage in Carlsbad, California by Beaver and Pam Theodosakis, who set out to make sustainably produced clothing for yoga, climbing, and outdoor pursuits. The brand takes its name from the Sanskrit word for breath, life, and vitality.

prAna was the first apparel company in North America to offer Fair Trade USA certified products and has maintained a commitment to organic and recycled materials throughout its history. Columbia Sportswear acquired the brand in May 2014.
