American skincare and cosmetics brand founded in Los Angeles, California in 1930 by Emanuel Stolaroff as Natone Company, later renamed Neutrogena Corporation in 1962 after its flagship transparent soap formulation. Neutrogena pioneered the dermatologist-recommended accessible skincare category with products including its Hydroboost moisturiser, Rapid Wrinkle Repair retinol range, and high-SPF sunscreens.

Johnson & Johnson acquired Neutrogena in 1994 for $924 million. It was spun off into a new publicly traded entity (Kenvue) in 2023.
