American luxury watch brand whose heritage traces to Belgian watchmaker Maurice Barouh in the 1940s, whose passion for horology passed to his son Jack Barouh. Jack relocated to Latin America and built a reputation for finely crafted timepieces before his family launched the Michele Watch brand in Miami, named after his daughter. Known for interchangeable straps and highly customizable dial and bracelet combinations, Michele is sold through fine jewelers and luxury department stores. Fossil Group acquired the brand through its purchase of Tempus International Corporation in April 2004.
