Le Coq Sportif is an independent company.

French sportswear brand whose name translates to "the athletic rooster," a reference to the Gallic rooster as a national symbol of France. Founded by Émile Camuset in Romilly-sur-Seine as a knitwear manufacturer, the brand adopted its rooster trademark in 1948 and grew to outfit national teams across tennis, cycling, football, and rugby. It dressed the French national football team at multiple World Cups and served as the official outfitter for French athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After financial difficulties led to court-ordered administration in late 2024, the brand was acquired by a consortium led by entrepreneur Dan Mamane in July 2025.
