French niche fragrance house founded in Paris in 1976 by perfumer-chemist Jean Laporte, one of the earliest artisanal perfume houses in the modern niche fragrance movement. The brand works with independent perfumers to create unconventional, nature-inspired scents distributed through its own boutiques and selective retail. Puig acquired L'Artisan Parfumeur in January 2015 alongside Penhaligon's.
