Canadian footwear brand founded in Montreal, known for handcrafted waterproof boots and shoes designed for the demands of the Canadian climate. The brand manufactures a portion of its footwear at its Montreal factory while also producing in Italy, and sells through its own boutiques and major US retailers. La Canadienne was acquired by Montreal-based private equity firm Champlain Financial Corporation in 2025, with the founding Schuster family exiting the business.
