Fashion

Joe Fresh is owned by Loblaw Companies.

Canadian fashion brand created in 2006 by designer Joe Mimran for Loblaw Companies, Canada's largest food and drug retailer. Mimran — who previously co-founded Club Monaco — was commissioned by Loblaw to develop an affordable fashion label sold within its supermarkets, positioning everyday style alongside groceries. Joe Fresh expanded into standalone stores and, in 2013, launched in the United States through a partnership with JCPenney. The brand offers clothing, accessories, and beauty products for women, men, and children. Mimran departed the brand in 2014 following controversy surrounding the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, from which Joe Fresh-labelled garments were recovered.
