Fjällräven is owned by Fenix Outdoor International.

Swedish outdoor apparel and equipment brand founded in 1960 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden by Åke Nordin, who as a 14-year-old in 1950 had built a wooden-framed backpack in his family basement after becoming frustrated by the heavy, uncomfortable packs available at the time. Fjällräven — meaning "Arctic Fox" in Swedish — grew from a backpack company into one of Scandinavia's most beloved outdoor lifestyle brands, known for its proprietary G-1000 wax-able fabric and the iconic Kånken daypack, first prototyped in 1977 and now one of the world's most recognised backpacks with over three million produced annually. The brand champions sustainability, durability, and timeless design over seasonal trend cycles, and organises the annual Fjällräven Classic trekking event in Sweden and internationally. Fjällräven became part of its parent group Fenix Outdoor International in 2001 and is a subsidiary of the publicly listed group. Its products are available in over 40 countries.
