Swedish-origin outdoor lifestyle group founded in 1960 through the establishment of Fjällräven by Åke Nordin in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, subsequently incorporated as a group entity and renamed Fenix Outdoor in 2002 following strategic acquisitions of outdoor retail and brand assets. The group redomiciled from Sweden to Switzerland in 2014, incorporating as Fenix Outdoor International AG and listing on Nasdaq Stockholm. Fenix Outdoor operates a portfolio of outdoor brands including Fjällräven, Hanwag, Tierra, and Royal Robbins, alongside the Naturkompaniet retail chain in Sweden. The Nordin family remains the controlling shareholder, holding approximately 61% of voting rights through the family entity Nidron Holding AG, with Martin Nordin — eldest son of Åke Nordin — serving as Chairman. The group generated revenues of approximately SEK 5 billion annually and distributes products across more than 40 countries.
