Fear of God is a parent company.

American luxury streetwear label founded in Los Angeles in 2013 by Jerry Lorenzo with a starting budget of $14,000 and no formal fashion training. Lorenzo had previously worked in sports marketing, party promotion, and briefly at Diesel before launching the brand as an expression of his personal aesthetic — drawing on Christian faith, grunge and hip-hop culture, 1990s basketball, and vintage Americana. Fear of God became known for oversized silhouettes, premium fabrics, a muted neutral palette, and a deliberate rejection of the traditional seasonal fashion calendar, releasing collections only when ready. The brand attracted early co-signs from Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Virgil Abloh and grew its revenue consistently year-over-year from 2013 onward, remaining entirely self-funded with no outside investors. Major collaborations include Nike, Vans, and Ermenegildo Zegna. In 2018 Lorenzo launched Essentials as an accessible diffusion line, and in 2024 launched Fear of God Athletics in partnership with Adidas. In 2025 the brand opened its first permanent flagship store in Los Angeles.
