Beauty
American cosmetics brand founded in 1991 by makeup artist Bobbi Brown in New York City, initially built around a ten-shade collection of natural-looking lipsticks. The Estée Lauder Companies acquired the brand in 1995, and it grew to over $1 billion in annual retail sales by 2016. Bobbi Brown departed from her namesake brand in December 2016 after 25 years, following which ELC undertook a comprehensive brand refresh including new packaging, logo, and positioning.
