Baume & Mercier is an independent company.

Swiss watchmaker founded in 1830 in Les Brenets, Switzerland by brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume as Baume & Co. The Maison partnered with Paul Mercier in 1918 to form Baume & Mercier, becoming known for classically elegant, accessible luxury timepieces including the Clifton and Hampton collections. Richemont acquired Baume & Mercier through its ownership of Vendôme Luxury Group. In January 2026 Richemont announced it would sell Baume & Mercier to the Italian Damiani Group, with the transaction pending completion.
